Yes, I'm still here.
I haven't had a lot of time to blog lately. Life just sneaks away. I originally set up this blog and this web
site to pass along little marketing tips and more neat and exclusive ways you can use my voice to make yourself more money.
Yes, I still want to help you find those for you and me both. But I need to be honest with you and with myself.
This world is built on communication. Whether it's marketing your business or just making sure everyone is on the same
page in a 3 person office, communication is everything.
Communicate your message every chance you get.
With my day job, I probably spend close to an hour a day on a telephone. Of that time, 20% or more is spent on hold.
While over half of the companies I call have on-hold messaging or at least on-hold music, the ones that don't are sure missing
opportunities. Just two days ago, I acted on an old hold advertisement and placed an order.
It's
not rude to put messages on hold, it's a courtesy to back up your sales and marketing team. "Did you know that
this month only, this car dealer will take an additional $500 off any new vehicle sold to all active duty and retired armed
service personnel including the National Guard?" I guess I missed that little blurb on their radio ad, but even
though I never served in the armed forces, one of my best friends has and he's looking for a car. I sent him a Facebook
message, and he's going there Saturday to look. I know it's just a personal anecdote that doesn't mean much in the grand
scheme of life, but I'll bet that car dealer sells a car because he spent a few extra dollars to tell me about his promotion
while he had me on hold.
Click on the email address above and ask me about on-hold advertising. I have solutions
to help out just about any size business. I can even update your system over the internet with secure delivery.
Any questions, send me an email any time.
Thanks!
